Corker: "We Will Continue to Fight for a Vote on Corker-Toomey Tariff Amendment"

June 27, 2018 - In remarks on the Senate floor, U.S. Senators Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) sought an up-or-down vote on their amendment to the farm bill that would require congressional approval of tariffs designated under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The request for a vote was blocked by Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).
