WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement after members approved the nomination of Mr. Ron Johnson to be ambassador to Mexico, Mr. Mike Huckabee to be ambassador to Israel, and Mr. Kevin Cabrera to be ambassador to Panama during a committee business meeting.
“With the passage of these three qualified nominees, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has now approved the nomination of 10 of President Trump’s national security nominees. We will do all we can to keep up this quick pace to ensure President Trump and Secretary Rubio have the support they need. I urge my colleagues to confirm these qualified nominees when they come to the Senate floor.”
