WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, yesterday met with United Kingdom Foreign Secretary David Cameron in the U.S. Capitol.
“It was an honor to welcome Foreign Secretary Cameron to the U.S. Senate yesterday. The United States and United Kingdom face many shared challenges around the world, and these conversations allow us an opportunity to collaborate on solutions.
“In particular, I believe the United States and United Kingdom can work together to develop a collaborative approach to China and the Indo-Pacific. AUKUS is a great example of how our cooperation can continue to grow and respond to emerging challenges. This project will take work, but I am confident we can overcome all obstacles.
“I am also grateful for all the United Kingdom has done to support Ukraine. They have shown leadership on equipping Ukraine and pushed the Biden Administration to do the right thing. If Putin isn’t stopped in Ukraine, he is sure to continue working his way further into Europe.”
