Chairman Menendez Promotes NJ Business Opportunities During Taiwan Visit

Taipei, Taiwan– U.S. Sen Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, shared his views about New Jersey's education system, supply chain integration, valuable ports, and market access advantages with leaders in Taiwan, including Vice President Wu Dunyi.

“New Jersey is home to numerous cutting-edge research facilities, world-renowned educational institutions and our state’s port accessibility connects all that we have to offer to opportunities throughout the global economy,” said Senator Menendez. “I have consistently supported the policies that have allowed us to develop these strengths, and I was glad to have had the chance to make these points to Taiwanese investors today. I look forward to their coming to the Garden State in November.”

This is Chairman Menendez's first visit to the region as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. In addition to Taiwan, other stops on his trip include Japan, South Korea and China.
