Risch Welcomes Bahraini Delegation to U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, yesterday welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, crown prince and prime minister of Bahrain to the U.S. Capitol.

“It was an honor to welcome His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the U.S. Capitol yesterday to discuss our shared strategic interests,” said Risch. “The Kingdom of Bahrain is a longstanding, vital U.S. partner in an important region. We discussed the need to address shared threats posed by Iran, and I underscored America’s continued commitment to the Middle East. I look forward to furthering these efforts in the months ahead.”
