Shaheen, Risch Attend Munich Security Conference

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Jim Risch (R-ID), Ranking Member and Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will depart for Germany to attend the 2025 Munich Security Conference. Risch and Shaheen will join national security leaders from around the world to discuss strategic cooperation on common global security goals.

“I am pleased to attend the Munich Security Conference at a pivotal time in the world. Every year, this conference serves as an important reminder that when we work together with our partners and allies, we get results. I look forward to discussing global challenges and finding common ground with a wide array of foreign leaders, and I’m particularly pleased to do so with Senator Risch by my side,” said Ranking Member Shaheen.

“Between rising aggression from China, turbulence in the Middle East, and Putin’s ongoing war against Ukraine, the world faces many security crises. I look forward to attending the Munich Security Conference with Senator Shaheen to discuss how the Senate Foreign Relations Committee can work with our allies to better protect American interests and global security,” said Chairman Risch.

The 61st Munich Security Conference will take place from February 14 to 16, 2025, at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. Additional information on the 2025 Munich Security Conference can be found here.
