Senate Foreign Relations Committee Week Ahead: October 23 – 27

WASHINGTON – This week, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will convene for one full Committee hearing on Instability in the Sahel and West Africa, one Subcommittee hearing, one “pen & pad” briefing for journalists, and one business meeting focused on the nomination of Jacob J. Lew to be U.S. Ambassador to Israel.

For all hearings, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will follow guidelines developed in consultation with the Office of the Attending Physician (OAP), the Senate Sergeant at Arms, and the Senate Rules Committee to protect the health of members, nominees, staff, and the public. Masks and other PPE, as well as sanitation supplies, will be available at the hearing room entrance.

All media must RSVP to your respective gallery to reserve a seat, and only Hill-credentialed media will be permitted to attend. RSVP for all committee events, including hearings, and other special events. Cameras and audio recordings are not allowed in room S-116 for business meetings/markups. RSVP information is at the bottom of this advisory.
