Senate Foreign Relations Committee Week Ahead: June 20 – 23

WASHINGTON – This week, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will convene a business meeting to consider ten pieces of legislation including the Taiwan Tax Agreement Act of 2023; Peace Corps Reauthorization Act of 2023; and the Safeguarding Tunisian Democracy Act. The Committee will also convene for one nomination hearing and one full Committee hearing on “Examining U.S. and Global Commitments to Combatting Global Human Trafficking.”

For all hearings, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will follow guidelines developed in consultation with the Office of the Attending Physician (OAP), the Senate Sergeant at Arms, and the Senate Rules Committee to protect the health of members, nominees, staff, and the public. Masks and other PPE, as well as sanitation supplies, will be available at the hearing room entrance.

MEDIA POLICY: Press seating is limited. All media must RSVP to your respective gallery to reserve a seat, and only Hill-credentialed media will be permitted to attend. RSVP for all committee events, including hearings, and other special events. Cameras and audio recordings are not allowed in room S-116 for business meetings/markups. RSVP information is at the bottom of this advisory.
