***MEDIA ADVISORY*** Menendez to Publish Report Cataloguing Damage Caused by Trump’s Failed Foreign Policy

WASHINGTON – Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will convene a virtual conversation on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at 11:30 AM EDT to unveil a new report being published by the SFRC Democratic Staff.

Entitled “The Cost of Trump’s Foreign Policy: Damage and Consequences for U.S. and Global Security,” the report was commissioned by Ranking Member Menendez to provide a comprehensive examination by Congress of the Trump administration’s dangerously incoherent foreign policy and the damage to the United States’ credibility and Americans’ security.

Nahal Toosi, foreign policy and national security correspondent for POLITICO, will join Menendez for the on-the-record conversation.

About the report: Drawing on interviews with dozens of former U.S. government officials, foreign government officials, and experts, the new report demonstrates how President Trump’s chaotic and unpredictable foreign policy, alienation of our allies and emboldening of autocrats, and attacks on American values have weakened U.S. security and contributed to a worldwide decline in democracy. The report also makes a series of recommendations to address the damage and chart a path forward.
