Chairman Menendez Statement Condemning Anti-Hinduism and Other Forms of Religious and Ethnic Discrimination

Jersey City, NJ – U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement on anti-Hinduism and other forms of religious and ethnic discrimination:

“Throughout my time as a representative of the American people, my commitment to condemning racial and religious prejudice both at home and abroad has remained steadfast. Today and every day, discriminatory rhetoric and acts targeted at Hindu-Americans, or any religious or ethnic community, are deplorable and have no place in New Jersey or anywhere in our country. The diversity of the American people is one of our nation’s greatest strengths, and it is our duty to reject all forms of bigotry, hatred, and prejudice, wherever it should arise.”
