Chair Cardin Applauds Senate Resolution on Israel with Overwhelming Bipartisan Support

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, hailed the Senate introduction of a bipartisan resolution in support of Israel, which he co-led with Senate leadership and which was cosponsored by 99 U.S. Senators.

“I am immensely proud that this overwhelmingly bipartisan resolution has been introduced in the U.S. Senate,” said Chair Cardin. “The fact that nearly every Senator has signed on to this urgent legislation is a testament to the strength of the U.S.-Israel alliance, and sends a clear and unequivocal message that we stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel in its hour of need. I look forward to swiftly passing our resolution at the first opportunity.”
